From Classroom to Kitchen

As a former fourth-grade teacher with nearly 20 years of classroom experience, I spent my career helping children learn, grow, and celebrate their successes. When I stepped away from teaching, I wasn’t entirely sure what the next chapter would look like.

What began as a creative outlet in my kitchen gradually grew into something much bigger—a business built around bringing people together through beautiful, handcrafted desserts.

More Than Just Desserts

Today, I specialize in custom French macarons and gourmet cupcakes designed to bring people together. Whether I’m creating desserts for a birthday, graduation, wedding, fundraiser, or community event, my goal is always the same: to make people smile.

Based in Tempe, Arizona, every order is handcrafted in my home kitchen with attention to detail, quality ingredients, and a little creativity. I love transforming familiar desserts and flavors into unique macarons and cupcakes that feel both nostalgic and special.

Community & Connection

One of the things I enjoy most about this business is the opportunity to connect with people. Over the years, Ali Can Bake has been part of celebrations, community fundraisers, animal rescue events, theater productions, and countless gatherings with family and friends. Those connections mean just as much to me as the desserts themselves.

When I’m not baking, you’ll often find me volunteering at Arizona Animal Welfare League, spending time outdoors, or collaborating with my husband Gene on creative projects. Together, we’ve learned that some of life’s best moments happen when good people gather around good food.

Family Business at Heart

Behind every Ali Can Bake event is a lot of teamwork. My husband Gene and I often work together on creative projects, community events, and special celebrations. Building this business has become a family adventure, and I’m grateful for the support, encouragement, and laughter that come along with it.
